Cosori Food Dehydrator Review
This is my Cosori food dehydrator review, and I’ll be talking about the 6 tray version I own. The Cosori dehydrator comes with stainless steel trays, adjustable temperature control, and a timer that makes it easy to set and forget. It has a clear front door so you can check on your food as it dries, and the fan works evenly so you don’t need to rotate trays. For beginners or anyone serious about food preservation, this model is one of the best food dehydrators out there.

When I got my Cosori dehydrator, I quickly fell in love with how easy it is to use. I make apple chips, dried herbs, and a ton of fruit leather, and the results are always perfect. The 6 trays give me plenty of space to dry large batches at once, and the even airflow means everything comes out just right. It’s quiet, simple, and has quickly become one of my favorite tools in the kitchen.

Cosori Food Dehydrator Review
Now that you know a little about the Cosori dehydrator, let’s dive into the full review. I’ll go over the features, how it performs, and why it’s one of my favorite food dehydrators to use in the kitchen. I purchased mine on Amazon when it went on sale. A tip is to put it in your shopping cart and wait a bit to see if the price goes down.
🍏 Plenty of Space for Big Batches
With six stainless steel trays, this dehydrator gives you room to dry a lot of food at once. I can make apple chips, dried apricots, or a ton of herbs, which is perfect when you have a busy week and want snacks ready for lunches or quick breakfasts. It also keeps everything organized, so you don’t have to shuffle trays or work in small batches.

🕒 Simple Digital Controls
The digital panel is straightforward and easy to read. You set the temperature and then how long you want your food to dry for. I often set it in the morning and depending on what I’m making, it will be finished before I go to bed.

🔇 Noise Level Is Ok
The Cosori dehydrator is quieter than some other models, but like most dehydrators, it still makes a bit of noise. I usually set mine up in the spare bedroom or downstairs so it doesn’t disturb the house while it runs. The fan is at the back.

🧼 Easy to Clean
Cleaning up is simple because the trays are stainless steel and dishwasher safe. That said, some sticky fruits or thick slices can stick to the racks, so I like to either line the trays with parchment paper or give them the trays a good soak before washing. This makes cleanup much easier.

👐 Handles On The Side
The machine has handles on the sides, which makes it easy to move around when you need to. I like that I can lift it without struggling. It’s simple to carry from the counter to a different room, or to tuck it away for storage. The handles are sturdy and are built right in.

🍓 Fruit Leather and Tray Tips
My machines came with a fruit leather tray, which is plastic. I don’t like drying on plastic, so I stick with the stainless steel trays lined with natural parchment paper. This way, my fruit leather comes out perfectly without touching any plastic, and cleanup is easy. Using the stainless steel trays with parchment gives me the results I want and feels safer for daily use.

I do put banana chips directly onto the tray though. If you do this make sure you get them off as soon as they are done. Do not let them cool or they will be so stuck on you will be very frustrated!
If you want to try making these, I have a fantastic banana chip recipe.

🍏 Tray Size and Capacity
This size dehydrator works well for most snacks, but I’m finding that it’s not quite large enough when I want to dry big batches at once. I often wish I had a little more space for apples, apricots, or fruit leather so I don’t have to run multiple batches. When I’m ready for an upgrade, I’ll go for the larger tray size.
I mostly use my dehydrator for making fruit leather, banana chips and drying fresh fruit to enjoy over the winter. It’s perfect for preserving all the seasonal fruits I pick or buy in bulk, and having homemade dried fruit on hand makes snacks and baking so much easier. I love knowing I can store the flavors of summer and fall to enjoy anytime.

⏳ Takes A While for Certain Foods
Some foods, like thick apple slices, apricots, or jerky, take a long time to dry completely. Even with the steady heat and even airflow, these thicker or moisture heavy items can require many hours in the dehydrator. So make sure you give yourself lots of time to be there while dehydrating thicker foods.
I usually start them in the morning or even overnight so they’re ready by the end of the day, and it helps to check occasionally for the perfect texture. It’s not a flaw with the dehydrator, it just means you need to plan ahead if you want larger batches of dense fruits or meat.

Overall, my Cosori Food Dehydrator is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I use it all the time for fruit leather, drying fruit to enjoy over the winter, and for herbs as well. The stainless steel trays, easy digital controls, and the way it dries food evenly make it simple to get good results every time.
It’s not huge, so I sometimes have to run a couple of batches for bigger projects, but for everyday use, it works really well. I love having it in the kitchen because it makes preserving seasonal fruits fun and easy, and I know I’ll be using it all year long. Cosori also made my list of the best air fryers too.
